On a pleasant morning but, with a squelchy course, scoring was difficult. This did not deter our newest member, Alan Kelso however, who won the day with 19 points. Brian Taylor and Chris Beaumont both returned 17 points, Brian taking the countback.

A pleasant morning encouraged 25 players out on the course. George Cunningham won the day with 20 points while Steve Farrar and John Forsyth both returned 19 points, Steve taking second place on countback.
No birdies were noted but Warner Hardie's birthday reported last week was in fact a birdie at the 9th.
A cold but dry and calm morning with winter greens greeted some 24 players. The conditions [or was it the 2 putt rule?] seemed to suit several of the guys with 3 returning 20 points closely followed by another 3 on 19.
The winner on the day was Wilson Struthers who took first from Graham Mackie with Brian Taylor third. Birdies were recorded by Tony Kinder and David Wallace.

21 players encountered a quiet weather morning but a course still saturated in many places. Both Melvin Cannell and John Napier returned 17 points, John taking first on countback.
Bill Hardcastle, our antipodean TAM, suffered a mild stroke playing the 9th. Thankfully, after an afternoon of checks at BGH, he was allowed home. Thanks to his playing partners and two of the ground staff who had Bill in the clubhouse within 5 minutes of him taking poorly.

A beautiful sunny morning made golf a pleasure compared with the gales and squalls of Wednesday morning. Roger Key and Steve Farrar repeated the result of 29th October with 20 points and 19 points respectively. Birdies were recorded by Ken Davie [4th], Roger Key [9th] and Ian Quigley [5th], Ian also scoring a respectable 18 points.
A pleasant if slightly breezy morning welcomed 26 players. Ground conditions were tricky particularly in the wet semi-rough.
3 players tied on 18 points, Warner Hardie, George Tucker and Steve Farrar, Warner ending a rather lean spell by taking first with George in second place and Steve third.
On a pleasant autumn morning with the course drying out 28 players competed for the John Forsyth Putting Trophy. The player with the fewest puts wins and there were some impressive low scores. The winner will be announced [hopefully] at the Xmas lunch on the 10th December.
Birdies were recorded by Ian Tate, Brian Robson and our newest recruit Alan Kelso.
I believe conditions were pretty bad on Thursday-they certainly were in Derby where I was.
Roger Key rose to the occasion returning 22 points with Steve Farrar maintaining his recent good form returning 20 points.

A pleasant Autumn morning created good scoring conditions with 10 of 27 players scoring 16+ points. Melvin Cannell improved on last week's joint second spot coming home first on 21 points, closely followed by Steve Farrar on 20 points.
A benign autumn morning created pleasant golfing conditions despite the soaking the course has had recently.
Overall scoring was good, Bill Hardcastle winning with 20 points. Melvin Cannell and George Langlands both returned 19 points and could not be separated on countback to share second place.
We were pleased to be joined by a recuperating David W who walked the course offering some positive advice to a grateful Tony Kinder.
Despite recent monsoons and the necessary maintenance the course is a pleasure to play. Gordon Fisher again hit a purple patch returning 24 stableford points. Chris Beaumont, Brian Taylor and Ken Davie all tied on 21 points with Ken edging the countback. Gordon and Ken birdied 9 and 8 respectively.
Well done also to Ken for his winning 48 points in Tuesday's Senior stableford.
23 players enjoyed a lovely autumn morning-some even enjoyed the golf. Conditions really suited Richard Edmonds who returned 21 points.
4 players returned 19 points, Ian Tate taking second on countback from Eric Ward, Melvin Cannell and Chris Beaumont.
24 TAMS turned up despite foggy and cold conditions. Tony Kinder and Melvin Cannell both returned 20 points with Tony taking the countback.
Brian Taylor and Steve Farrar both birdied the 9th.
Next week sees the start of the winter stableford.
21 TAMS enjoyed a wonderful late summer morning which was reflected in some very good scoring-does playing with only 5 clubs help to focus the golfing brain? As usual the winner will be announced [hopefully] at our Xmas lunch.

Despite the attraction of a Stableford comp at Monktonhall 18 players enjoyed a benign Autumn morning. George Cunningham continued his recent good form returning 20 points for first. George Langlands reversed recent poor form returning 19 points for second place, squeezing past Steve Baczkowski on 18 points.
Birdies were recorded by Roger Key at 9 and Wilson Struthers at 7 [ 3 inches from an ace].
Next Thursday is a 5 club stableford for the Ken Bowie Salver.
Fortunately the heavy overnight rain forecast did not happen tho' the rough was still like a water feature! Scoring was impressive with Steve Farrar returning 24 points for first with Eric Ward second on 20 points. Bill Hardcastle birdied 7.
Congratulations also to George Cunningham who won the Seniors Trophy on Tuesday.
22 players braved a very wet course and persistent rain to play for Roddie's Gavel. Scoring was difficult but there were a couple of good results.
Winners will be announced at the Xmas lunch.
Its congratulations to our oldest TAM, 93 years young Steve Baczkowski, who eased past young whippersnapper Sandy Macfarlane after countback, both on 20 points. George Cunningham was third also on 20 points.
Steve finished with an impressive 5 points on the 9th. Worthy of a ball alone!

Despite the threat of thunder storms and no broadband 25 player rose to the challenge. Ian Tate scored an impressive 22 points for first. Ronnie Watt, Bill Hardcastle and Graham Mackie tied on 21 points and after countback Ronnie and Bill could not be separated so shared second place.
Ken Davie birdied the first and Graham Mackie the 7th.
A pleasant-ie dry an calm!-summer's morning encouraged 23 players to the course. John Napier continued a good run of form to return 21 points for first place. Bill Hardcastle shaved second place from Melvin Cannell on 20 points.
