Results for 31st January

Winter greens and frost bounces were in play but a hint of warmth from the sun created a pleasant morning. Bill Hardcastle was welcomed back from  his Antipodean adventures and was presented with the Stanley Ridgeway trophy which he won last year. A bottle of Merlot also caught up with him as a member of the winning Scramble team.

Overall scoring was much improved on recent weeks. 3 players tied on 19 points for second place with Tony Kinder taking the honours on countback .With 20 points and nearest the pin at 7 Jim Walker had a good morning on the course. There were birdies for Carlos Maeso, Brian Taylor and Bill Hardcastle.

Chris Beaumont is recovering from his recent surgery but will not be golfing for a wee while yet.
