The prospect of a dry morning brought out 18 players. Ian Tate and Keith Ackerman both returned 18 points, Ian taking the honours on countback. George Langlands was nearest at the 7th and converted the putt for the birdie.

Graeme Murray and Derek McLachlan were both made welcome.
