Results for 28th July

A cool but calm morning encouraged 19 players. Scoring was generally good Jim Walker taking the honours with 21 points with a birdie start at the first. John Forsyth sneaked second from Jim Pettigrew both, on 19 points. Ian Quigley birdied 4 while Bill Hardcastle was nearest at 7.

Two players competed for shot of the day-from 170 yards out Steve Farrar played his second shot from the left semi-rough on the 5th to see the ball flying towards the field, hit the OB post and sail on to the green some 15 feet from the pin setting up his par.

Richard Edmonds approach to the 6th green diverted right to play pin ball off the walls of the new bridge and ended up on the green -Richard putted out for a six. Precision golf?

We will play for Ken's Salver on the18th August as the course is closed for the Senior Open on the 11th.
