Join Us in the Clubhouse for a Summer of Social Events!

Copy of Copy of Peebles Social Events Poster.png

The summer is now upon us and whilst we remain under a degree of Covid restrictions, the Club’s Social Sub-Committee has been working hard in the background to develop a programme of social events over the next few months, to encourage members and guests back into the clubhouse and into the swing of enjoying a day or a night out.

Between now and the event of August, a series of new events have been planned, including a Putting & Prosecco Evening (sponsored by PURE Spa & Beauty), the return of the Thorburn Cup Hero Challenge, a Race Night and Food Theme Nights in the restaurants. Additional events have also been planned for the autumn and these will also be revealed soon.

We kick off with our Evolution Junior Golf Family Fun Day this Sunday 20 June, which includes a Harry’s BBQ, and only a few tickets remain for this. We would also like to encourage members to come and support your friends and golfing colleagues on Championship Finals Day, which takes place on Saturday 3 July and promises to be another exciting day of match play golf with games across all categories being played.

Peebles Welcomes an Open Champion

We were honoured to welcome the 1999 Open Champion and European Ryder Cup hero Paul Lawrie to Peebles last Saturday, who joined recent Challenge Tour winner Craig Howie for 18 holes and his first visit to the course.

Describing Peebles as “a course in great condition with some amazing views”, Paul also spent time in the clubhouse and was very impressed with the members hospitality and warmth towards our local hero Craig. Paul’s management company ‘Five Star Sports’ now look after Craig, so the break in his schedule gave them a chance to catch up and spend a few hours together ahead of another busy few weeks for the Peebles player.

You can check out a few images from their round in the gallery below …

Evolution Junior Golf Family Fun Day – Sunday 20 June

Dear Parent

To celebrate the launch of our exciting new sponsorship of the club’s Junior Programme, we are staging a Family Fun Day and would like to invite you and your family to attend. The event will take place on Sunday 20 June from 2pm – 5pm, featuring a range of golf activities, skills challenges, a BBQ and a presentation of our prize winners from the 2020 season.

We are delighted that Evolution Bottling and Packaging Solutions are coming on board as our new Junior Sponsors, who will be supporting our activities across our successful Junior Programme, from our Sunday morning junior coaching, through to the 18 Steps and onto our Junior Team and competitions. Their sponsorship allows to further grow and develop the programme, ensuring that all junior members will have the opportunity to progress through the stages, and hopefully encourage them to become golfers for life.

The Evolution Family Fun Day will include:

·       Juniors & Adults Hero Challenge on the 1st hole

·       Putting Competitions

·       Chipping & Pitching Skills Challenges

·       Adult intro lessons for non-golfers

·       Prizes and giveaways

·       Harry’s View BBQ

Entry to the event will be FREE for junior members, with a £5 ticket price for adults and juniors who are not members (which covers the BBQ), payable in advance from the Bar.

Our aim is to have as much of the activity taking place outside, however due to current restrictions, tickets for this event will be limited due to the capacity of the clubhouse, so please complete the form via the link below to confirm how many places you will need.

We look forward to seeing you on the day!
